Prized by African women for eons, marula oil comes from the fruit of the marula tree and is prized for its anti-aging powers: it has higher levels of antioxidants and omega fatty acids than its more well-known competitors. Its benefits are two-fold: first, it protects your skin against the damaging free radicals that accelerate aging. Next, it visibly reduces the look of existing wrinkles, from pesky crow�s feet to the parentheses marks framing your lips.

Marula fruit, which falls to the ground when ripe and resembles a plum with a large seed inside, is traditionally described as the �food of kings�. A gift of Marula nuts is considered to be a generous statement of friendship.

Our Marula oil is fairly and sustainably sourced from a women�s co-op organization. This product can be used on its own or as an excellent base for essential oils.

Marula is a very stable oil: it should last 2 years minimum. No solvents are used in the extraction process. The oil is filtered at the end and warmed to 50 degrees to remove any impurities. This warming does not change the therapeutic properties of the oil in any way.

It is great for moisture and healing however if I wear it daily I will get whiteheads  all over my face. But every other day it works great.

Within two weeks of use, I can definitely see a difference. Marula oil has improved my face dramatically, it's no longer dry and my sun spots are not as visible. The results have made me very optimistic and I look forward to do future purchases with Painted Earth.

This product smells so yummy - it's like being in an orange grove!  It thankfully comes with a brush to apply the mask in a thin layer.  I have only used it once so far, but my the texture of my face is already smoother!  And my sun damage looks a bit less pronounced, so I am confident with regular use my complexion will get even better.
